COOKEVILLE – The Transportation Marketing and Sales Association (TMSA) recently announced the winners of its 62nd annual Compass Awards program at its awards gala in Dallas, Texas.

Averitt Express was honored with a Compass Award for its recently redesigned website, which is the first 100 percent mobile-enabled site in the transportation industry. In addition to winning in its category, Averitt also earned the “Best of Show” award, claiming the top overall prize across all companies and categories.

TMSA is the transportation industry’s only association dedicated to advancing the success of marketing and sales professionals in all transportation modes. Members are at all levels and represent all market segments of the industry, including motor carriers, parcel carriers, railroads, air carriers, ocean lines, third party logistics providers, passenger transit organizations, media and suppliers.

TMSA awarded Compass Awards to 34 individual companies in a variety of categories, all dedicated to advancing the success of the transportation and logistics industry. Entries were judged for excellence in marketing and sales through their work samples and entry write-up.

This year’s winners shared their best practices, strategies and tactics, helping to raise the bar in transportation marketing and sales creativity and innovation.

“We are honored to have the opportunity to celebrate the innovative marketing and sales materials of these companies and the individuals who work for them,” TMSA President Dino Moler said in a release. “Their collective contributions highlight the best of our industry and raise the bar for marketing and sales excellence across the board.”
